Hoffenheim is assured of a place in the Champions League group stage of the 2019/19 season and, it's understood that the German coach's commitment to the club remains total.
Nagelsmann also has a contract with the club that will keep him with Hoffenheim until 2022 and there is a release clause which could see him leave in 2019/20 season.
In supposedly rejecting Los Blancos, he's shown himself to be a man of his word with regards to his contract.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino remained a firm favourite for the job.
