Navas sends message to the fans after keeping clean sheet

La Liga By: Iseghohi Odianosen | 17/03/2019

Keylor Navas help Real Madrid to a 2-0 win against Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu in Zinedine Zidane first match in charge in the Frenchman second spell at the club.

Zidane returned Navas to the starting eleven to replace underperforming Thibaut Courtois, the Costa Rican shot-stopper kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over the Galician club and Navas was quick to react to his performance against Miguel Cardoso's men after been accused of bad training habits.

"The people who said that I had trained badly now have to admit [they were wrong] because either they don't know me or never saw a training session at Valdebebas," he said."Everybody there knows how I train. At the end of the tunnel, there is always light and that's how I have always worked.

"Now I want to enjoy this and live in the moment. If you think about the future, you lose perspective of the time you are living in.

"I work every week to try and be in the coach's team and today, the sun came out. I always try to contribute, and I will be stronger from this situation and have more desire.

"Navas was also keen to reiterate his happiness with life in Madrid and insisted that he has no immediate plans on leaving."I haven't played for a long time and I'm very happy.

The future will be seen but I'm happy here and will work as I always do," he added."Thinking about the future distorts the present, as I said, but what is important is that I worked hard and was given an opportunity as a result of it.

"My family and myself are both happy here and we will see what happens in the future, but my desire hasn't changed and my intention is to fulfil the contract I have."
