Nedved reveals how Juventus sign Ronaldo from Real Madrid

Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has revealed how the Turin giant managed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in the summer, according to report.

The initial plan came from sporting director Fabio Paratici and the deal went on from step to step before Real Madrid conceded in selling the Portuguese striker for a fee of €100 million.

The former Juventus midfielder believed the signing of Ronaldo will boost their chances to win the Champions League after much dominance in the Serie A."Everything started in the head of our sporting director [Paratici]," he admitted."We were at home when he proposed the idea to myself and president [Andrea] Agnelli.

"We really liked the idea, we were excited and knew we were doing the right thing."When we heard about the release clause, we knew that we had to try to sign him."This was a necessary signing to go one step further after winning seven successive Scudetti.

"We will try to win the Champions League, that's our goal."

The signing of Ronaldo will add more attacking threat to Juventus this season.
