Amidst speculation of his move away from France following claims of a potential summer move to Real Madrid, Neymar has spoken on social media to hint that he may stay at Paris Saint-Germain next season after all.

Neymar has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid and reports say his father has even told PSG that his son wants to leave. The latest report from Spain according to MARCA say in order to sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid will have to convince Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, to agree to the deal. This operation would require approval from the very top of the PSG hierarchy, so it would go beyond club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The 26-year old took to his official Twitter account on Saturday to post a message that will spark mix feelings for the Parisian club supporters and Real Madrid followers.

"Proud to wear the new jersey and to continue giving you joy," he posted on Twitter alongside an image of him in the PSG kit for the 2018/19 season.

Qatar are keen to use sport as a way of projecting a fresh image of the country to the world and, along with the 2022 World Cup and Neymar is believed to be the jewel in their crown - one they would not want to give up without a fight.

The Emir has excellent relationships in Europe and in France and letting the Brazilian leave the French capital now could be as much of a diplomatic blow to him as a sporting one. In a financial sense, there is no real need to sell given that the club's owners have a fortune valued at two billion euros.
