Nigeria overtake Morocco & climbs 4 spots in FIFA ranking

Super Eagles of Nigeria overtake fellow African nation Morocco and climbs four spots in April FIFA rankings with the latest ranking released on Thursday by the world football governing body on their official website.

Three-time African Champions moves four places to 42nd in the updated rankings after accumulated 1435 points, eight more than their previous tally and are now the third best team in Africa on the back of their victories against Seychelles and Egypt in international matches last month.

Senegal (23rd) are the top-ranked African nation, followed by Tunisia (28th), Nigeria (42nd), Morocco (45th), and Congo Democratic Republic (46th), Ghana (49th), Cameroon (54th), Egypt (57th), Burkina Faso (58th) and Mali (65th).

Belgium are first overall, world champions France come in at number two, while Brazil, England and Croatia occupy the third, fourth and fifth position respectively.
