Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham wins his first Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for November 2018.

The 21-year-old Chelsea loanee becomes the fourth Nigerian player to win the award since its inception, following in the footsteps of Ade Akinbiyi (Stoke City), Shola Ameobi (Newcastle United) and Sone Aluko who won the award on two occasions, wearing the jerseys of Hull City and Fulham.

Abraham has been shortlisted for the award alongside Joe Lolley (Nottingham Forest), Teemu Pukki (Norwich City) and Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough) but England U21 scored six goals in four appearances for Aston Villa last month included a four-goal haul against Nottingham Forest in a 5-5 draw at Villa Park to win the  Player of the Month.

Nigerian descent told EFL's official website after winning the award: ''I'm delighted to be named Player of the Month. It's been a great few weeks for us as a team as well as me personally.

''Hopefully we can continue that over a busy Christmas period and beyond."

Abraham and his Aston Villa side travel to the Hawthorns to battle West Bromwich Albion on Friday night encounter.
