Nigerian star Rinsola Babajide scores first hat-trick on her dad's birthday as Liverpool FC Women swept aside Bristol City Women 5-2 at Prenton Park on Sunday.

It was a special occasion for the 20-year-old striker as her father celebrated his birthday on April 21 and the London-born without a goal to her name since she found the net against Brighton in September.

Babajide started things off on 11 minutes at Prenton Park when she intercepted an awful pass across the box before running on to fire home left-footed before getting her second of the game four minutes before half-time.

Nigerian descent then saw an effort cleared off the line before she completed her hat-trick on 65 minutes with another brilliant strike, holding off her marker and then keeping her composure to slot past the goalkeeper.

Eighth-placed Liverpool are now within a point of seventh-placed West Ham, while Bristol City stays sixth.
