Nigerian striker lands in Scotland for Rangers move

Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar lands in Scotland to secure a season-long loan move from Italian Serie A side AS Roma to Scottish Premiership side Rangers.

The new Rangers boss Steven Gerrard earlier admitted that he wants to bring the Olympics Bronze medalist to the Ibrox Stadium.

According to Daily Record understands t5he 21-year-old striker Sadiq jetted into Glasgow on Monday night and is expected to sign a season-long loan with 

attacking midfielder Coulibaly is also poised to join him for the campaign after making the move from French outfit Angers.

However, Liverpool legend has until midnight on Wednesday to add to players to his squad for the Europa League clash with Shkupi on Thursday.

Umar was signed from Spezia in 2016 spent last term at NAC Breda in Holland but is under contract until 2020 with Giallaorisi. 

Gerrard has already secured the signing of Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor, Jamie Murphy, Nikola Katic, Connor Goldson, Ovie Ejaria and Jon Flanagan.
