Nigerian striker on target for Al Ahly in big win

Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi was on target for Al Ahly’s 4-0 big win over Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium.

The 23-year-old Rio 2016 bronze medalist who narrowly missed out on the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia opening the floodgate for the Red Devils from a header in the ninth minute.

However, Marwan Moshen extends the lead for Al Ahly in the 31 minutes before Geraldo and Karim Walid put it beyond Petrojet reach in the second half.

The goal was Ajayi’s fourth in seven league appearances for the Egyptian champions this season.

Al Ahly sit in the second position in the table 51 points from 22 games, a point before leaders Zamalek who still have a game in hand.
