Pep Guardiola is planning a clear out at Manchester City and a young defender of Nigerian descent, Tosin Adarabioyo is listed among the 18 players that could be bidding the Etihad Stadium bye at the end of the season.

According to a report in the Guardian report Guardiola will have a transfer war-chest of £150m to spend on players – particularly defenders.

But to bring in his new legs, out-of-favour or ageing players will have to leave the club, with seven first-teamers out of contract in July.

They are Yaya Touré, Gaël Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta, Willy Caballero, Jesús Navas, Bacary Sagna and young centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

Initially, reports suggested that new contract talks will be activated for Adarabioyo but that has not seen the light of the day till now.

Aside Adarabioyo, there are also dark clouds on whether Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho will be affected with this planned clear out by Guardiola who remains unhappy with his side's exit from the Champions League.

Guardiola also has five of his squad out on loan around England and Europe – Joe Hart, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony and Jason Denayer
