Players of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC are talking tough as they get set to face Enyimba International FC of Aba in Ilorin on Sunday for match day 14 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter.

Some of the players who spoke on Friday in Ilorin include Chukwuebuka Anaekwe, whose plan for the game is for his mates to show the spirit of the real ABS FC players, which is fight to finish.

"We are disappointed about the result in Shagamu against Remo Stars on Sunday but we want to make amend against Enyimba.

"In ABS, we are groomed to grind out results no matter how big the opponent is.

"No doubt Enyimba is a big side but none of us will remember that on Sunday" Anaekwe said.

To Ibrahim Ahmed, the match day 14 encounter with Enyimba is a must win and the players will approach it just like that.

"We are aware of the threat they pose to us but I believe we are up to the task and we will beat them by God grace.

"I think every day how to help this great team achieve successes because we operate like one family.

"The boss (Henry Makinwa), has brought a lot believe into us, he made us believe we can win anywhere if we show better character and mentality" Ahmed said.

It would be recalled that the captain of the team, Abdullahi Boje, had earlier in the week urged his mates to show convincing character enough to beat the seven times champion on Sunday.

Injuries to some key players forced coach Makinwa to convert his wards into different positions on match day 13 against Remo Stars but the former Real Sociedad of Spain attacker, is boosted with a return of Anaekwe.

The UEFA Pro licensed coach said his players are happy to host the People's Elephant and expressed the hope that they will show a character good enough to over power the Gbenga Ogunbote tutored side.

ABS FC stand the better chance of the two sides, the Saraki Boys have won two of its last five games.

The Ilorin based side drew 2-2 with Sunshine Stars in Akure, had a 1-0 win over Wikki Tourist in Ilorin and lost 1-0 to Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

The Saraki Boys bounced back from the match day 11 loss to Rangers with a 1-0 victory over Kastina United in match day 12 before a 3-0 battering in the hands of Remo Stars in Shagamu on match day 13.

Enyimba have never beaten ABS FC in Ilorin, the Saraki Boys thrashed the People's Elephant 3-1 in their last visit to Ilorin in 2013.
