The two-week pre-season closed camping exercise of seven-time Nigeria league champions, Enugu Rangers International F.C, came to a close, Sunday, 07 January 2018 with the team expected back in Enugu, Monday, 08 January 2018.
Declaring the exercise closed inside the main bowl of Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, where the team has been training for the past two weeks, technical adviser of the Coal city landlords, Coach Olugbenga Ogunbote, praised the dedication and determination displayed by the players during the period.
“I am indeed very proud of all of you,” he told the players while calling them to imbibe the spirit of unity as they challenge for victories in all competitions in the coming season.
“With unity, there is nothing that can stop our collective aim of emerging victorious in matches hence, I charge every one of you to see each other as one united family with one name, Rangers,” advised the gaffer called ‘Oracle’ in some quarters.
The 57-man delegation is expected to depart their lodge in Ijebu-Ode for a seven-hour road trip back to Enugu on Monday to continue preparations for the opening 2018 NPFL encounter with Aiteo cup holders, Akwa United in Uyo before coming back to Enugu to host Lobi Stars three days later.
In an exclusive chat with email@example.com, Ogubote said, “It was a worthwhile exercise and I thank board and management for approving funds for this program which I believe enabled us to do all the needful for a successful season. The results of the practice matches played give
us confidence going into the league. We call on our teaming fans and supporters to rally round the team as we promise to deliver the needed goods by the special grace of God.”
