FC Ifeanyi Ubah are in celebration mood having recorded its 2nd away win of the season on Sunday when it defeated Warri Wolves by a goal to nil, courtesy of a Chijioke Alakwe goal.
The goal was Alakwe’s 2nd goal in as many matches thus proving that the coach’s decision to include him in the starting 11 was a master class.
Alakwe was a hand full for the Wolves defense, his combination with Seka Pascal is beginning to be one to look out for the remainder of the season.
Speaking after the win which has given their continental aspirations a big lift, FCIU Coach Rafael Everton said his team will not rest on their oars.
"First, I want to give God the glory for this win for without Him in our lives we would be nowhere. Today, once again we were very tactical, my players raised their game especially in the defense. Warri Wolves are a very good side and to defend the way we did is wonderful," the Coach noted
"I dedicate this win to all my players, not only this ones that made the team but to even the ones at home. They have been working hard to improve their game and meet our season objectives and they deserve this win.
"We are back to the top four and back in contention for continental places." Coach Everton concluded.
