The Nigeria Football Federation have given provisional clearance to all players of erstwhile NPFL club, Giwa FC of Jos to join other clubs.
It could be recalled that the NFF in the statement in April upheld the LMC sanction of the Jos based outfit following a meeting of its Disciplinary Board in Abuja.
In a letter to the Chairman of LMC, organizers of the NPFL signed by NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi on Monday, the NFF wrote:
“Based on the LMC’s expulsion of the club from the Premier League and the NFF ratification of the same measure and with special reference to article 14 & 23 of the FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players, all players of Giwa FC as pronounced by the LMC and the NFF Disciplinary Committee are free to provisionally register for any club of their choice till the end of the 2015/2016 football season.
“Note also that, all the players are to return to the management of Giwa FC after the last match of the 2015/2016 NPFL League Season.” A statement from the NFF reads.
The NFF back in April further stated that the NFF Disciplinary Board had adopted all sanctions earlier pronounced by the LMC which the NFF Disciplinary Board after careful observation noted were in in line with the Rules and Regulations Guiding of the NPFL organizers.
