NPFL hotshot Lokosa joins Aghahowa & Lawal former club

NPFL hotshot Junior Lokosa has joined Julius Aghahowa & Garba Lawal former club Esperance for two and a half year contract.

The 25-year-old scored an impressive 19 goals from 21 matches for Kano Pillars during the 2017/18 NPFL campaign and Badagry born help Masu Gida to the final of the 2018 Federation Cup where they lost to Enugu Rangers.

Lokosa will now join the rest of his new teammates in Tunisia and could be presented to the fans when Esperance take on U.S Ben Guerdane in the league on Tuesday at Stade Olympique de Radès as the Bab Souika second on the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 after 11 games.

The former First Bank of Lagos player will need to help Esperance in the CAF Champions League after drawing 1-1 away at Horoya and Super Eagles striker keen to take part in their first home game against Platinum United this weekend.

Kano Pillar goal king was named in Nigeria’s provisional squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but Lokosa the was eventually dropped before the tournament after making his debut in a 1-1 friendly draw against DR Congo in May 2018.  

Lokosa has previously tried out in Bulgaria, Norway and China will become the fifth Nigerian to feature for Esperance after Aghahowa, Lawal, Michael Eneramo and Gabriel Okolosi.
