NPFL Week 7: MFM get away win as Rivers Utd held at home

MFM FC beat Remo Stars 1-0 in an away match in Osogbo township Stadium as Rivers United were held at home in Porthacourt in the week seven of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Adeniji Kabir was the match winner for MFM FC at Osogbo 13 minutes into the encounter as Remo Stars were banished to after crowd trouble at their home ground against Bendel Insurance.

Rivers United was held to a boring goalless draw by visiting newly promoted side Kwara United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, while FC Ifeanyiubah, Abia Warriors, Kada City and Go Round FC all won at home today in the NPFL encounter on Wednesday evening.

Ifeanyiubah beat Gombe United 2-0, Abia Warriors stopped Heartland by the same scores courtesy of a first-half strike by Samson Obi, while Go Round FC were 2-1 winners over visiting Kano Pillars.

Kada City also fought back from a goal down to beat El Kanemi Warriors 2-1 with the veteran Kabiru Sanusi grabbing the match winner at the death in Kaduna.
