Rivers -United-NPFL-Goal Sunshine Stars got the only away point in Sunday's games in the Nigeria Professional Football League as they shared the spoils in Lagos;  recording a barren draw against troubled  Ikorodu United. The latest draw by the Akure Gunners is their fifth of the season and they could easily pass for the draw specialists this season in the NPFL. Though with two games outstanding, Sunshine are in relegation waters having only ganered 8 points from nine game. It is worse for Ikorodu United who are at the base of the log with 6 points from the 11 games. Jost Derby While Ikorodu United are fleeting with relegation, there is something to cheer for newly promoted Plateau United who on Sunday won the first installment of the Jos derby; beating  Giwa FC a 2-0. Benjamin Turba's 63rd minute and Sunday Ingbede's 65th goals gave Plateau United all three point in the derby clash which has now taken their total tally to 14. Sunday’s win is just the fourth for Plateau United this season. Home Wins Also, Kano Pillars and El-Kanemi Warriors both secured home wins in other games on Sunday. Pillars came from a goal down to beat Nasarawa United 2-1 while El-kanenmi marked their return to Maiduguri with a 2-0 win over Shooting Stars. In Owerri, Heartland grinded a 2-1 win over Rivers United while in Uyo Akwa United returned to wining ways as they thumped Niger Tornadoes 2-0. The Match Day 11 NPFL tie involving Abia Warriors and Lobi Stars was inconclusive owing to a heavy downpour that rendered the pitch in Umuahia un-playable. Abia Warriors were leading 1-0 courtesy of Godwin Effiong's 12th minute strike and as stated by the LMC the game will now continue on Monday by 10 am   Match Day 11 results Ikorodu Utd 0-0 Sunshine Stars El-Kanemi 2-0 Shooting Stars Kano Pillars 2-1 Nasarawa Utd Plateau Utd 2-0 Giwa FC Warri Wolves 1-0 MFM FC Akwa Utd 2-0 Niger Tornadoes Heartland 2-1 Rivers Utd Rangers 1-0 FC Ifeanyiubah *Abia Warriors 1-0 Lobi Stars (Game continues 10am tomorrow after being called off due to waterlogged pitch)
