Oboabona upbeat on Eagles' return

Out of favour Super Eagles and Rizespor FC of Turkey defender, Godfrey Oboabona, insists he is not giving up hope of staging a comeback to the national team. Oboaabona had featured prominently for Nigeria under late Stephen Keshi winning the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. He is yet to get a call up under coach Gernot Rohr since the German took over the reign in 2016.The player dropped to fourth in the pecking order of defenders listed by Rohr following the return of Leon Balogun.But the former Sunshine Stars of Akure defender is confident of steering his way back to the Super Eagles after months in the wilderness. “I’m working hard to stage a comeback to the national team God willing,” he told FCNaija.“I won’t give up that dream yet. We have a great manager who is doing a great job with the team.
