OFFICIAL: Nigerian descent completes Juventus move

Nigerian descent Eniola Aluko have completed a move to Serie A Champions Juventus.

The 31-year-old England forward who has 102 caps joins the Bianconere from current FA WSL Champions Chelsea where she won three league titles and two FA Women’s Cups.

Aluko was the leading scorer of the 2016 FA WSL season with nine goals in 16 matches and brings her England international experience as well for a Chelsea side that advanced to the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals in 2018. 

The Lionesses star confirmed she would leave the Blues last month, after scoring seven goals in all competitions as they won a domestic double.

"Delighted & honoured to join Juventus FC Women- Italian champions, a club with an overwhelming history, ambition and success.

"So proud to hold the shirt worn by an endless list of legends. I can’t wait to get started!! # ForzaJuve” Aluko tweeted on Wednesday.

Juventus only formed their women’s senior team last year but won the Serie A title in their debut season.
