Official: Norway Club signs Nigerian youngster

Norwegian first division club, Valerenga, have completed the signing of a Nigerian youngster, Chidera Ejike The 19-year old has signed a three-year deal from Gee-Lec International from Jos, having successfully passed trials with the club after four weeks in Marbella, Spain.READ ALSO:Official: Ajax sign Nigerian striker “I had a very nice stay in Spain, and I was well received by the group,” Ejike, 19, told vif-fotball.no.“I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to playing for Vålerenga. Hopefully I get the chance to show my qualities in several matches during the cause of the season.”Ejike also received rave remarks from his coach, Ronny Deila.“Chidi is a big young talent with great speed and skill offensively. In addition, he is a teachable and humble boy with great potential,” the former Celtic coach told the club’s website.“He’ll need a few months to adapt to all that is new, but I’m sure he’s going to contribute to the team during the season.”Valerenga have a rich history of featuring Nigerian players and Ejike will hope to outshine his predecessors.
