Paulo Dybala snubs Messi and rejects Barcelona move

Argentine international Paulo Dybala has rejected a move to Barcelona and shunned a chance to link up with Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou this summer.

Dybala has been linked with a move to Barcelona with Messi encouraging the Camp Nou hierarchy to sign him, but the young Argentina forward has opted to remain at Juventus for another season with the view to signing for Real Madrid next season according to reports.

The deal to bring the Juventus forward to Barcelona is now off the table, according to news emanating from Spanish news outlet Don Balon.

Reports earlier this summer had suggested Messi wanted Ernesto Valverde to draft in Dybala.

But according to another publication, Diario Gol, Dybala now wants a move to Real Madrid instead.

It’s suggested Florentino Perez will swoop for the 23-year-old next summer following secret talks.  The Real Madrid chief wants Dybala to replace one of Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu in 12 months’ time, according to Diario Gol.

Gareth Bale has been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United pushing hard for his signature.
