Plateau United sign former Super Eagles star - FCNaija

Plateau United have continued their recruitment process ahead of the new season and this time they have completed the signing of one-time Super Eagles striker Gambo Mohammed.

Gambo is joining the reigning league champions from Kano Pillars where he has played all of his professional club football before now.

Gambo, who is Kano Pillars all-time leading scorer, was initially linked with a move to Rivers United but has now joined the Jos club.

The move ended his over a decade romance with Kano Pillars where he was a cult hero among the supporters.

The 29-year old joined Kano Pillars from amateur outfit Buffalo FC in 2006 and won three NPFL titles with the club.

He is the latest arrival at Plateau United following the acquisitions of King Osanga, Charles Henlong, Amos Gyang and Tosin Omoyele among other recruits. brought in to strengthen the champions for the task ahead of them for next season. 

Plateau United who won the NPFL title last season will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next year.
