Edinson Cavani celebrated his 30th birthday in an unforgettable manner as he inspired Paris Saint German (PSG) to a brutal 4-0 victory against Barcelona in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16-match played in France this evening.

The Catalan club lined up the dynamic trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar (MSN) but they fell drunk to the multiple booze provided by the Uruguayan on his special day as Angel di Maria grabbed a brace while Edinson Cavani and Draxler scored the other goals to hand the French champions a first league advantage.

The home side had been eliminated from two of their last four champions league knockout rounds, immediately went on the front foot and it was dangerman Cavani that received a sumptuous pass from Angel di Maria but his shot was blocked by the very alert Gerrard Pique inside the six yard box.

But it did not take long for the home side to go in front as Angel di Maria stepped up for a freekick after Draxler was fouled on the edge of the box and he finished with aplomb to make it 1-0.

Barcelona sprang into action as Neymar bursts through the heart of the PSG defence before sliding a pass into Gomes, but the Portugal midfielder cannot beat Trapp in goal with his right foot shot.

At the other end, Lionel Messi was robbed off the ball and Verratti played in Draxler and he made no mistake with a great goal to end the first half 2-0 in favour of PSG.

The second half started on a brilliant note for the home side as di Marid added completed his brace with a lovely finish from 25yards. The Argentine dinked his way between two defenders before unleashing a beautiful curled shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Edinson Cavani put the icing on the cake as he raced onto a through pass from right-wing back Meunier before smashing the ball past Ter Stegen in goal for Barcelona to hand PSG a comfortable 4-0 win on a day he celebrated his 30th birthday.
