Paris Saint-German sporting director Leanardo has sent a warning to Zinedine Zidane over public admiration of Kylian Mbappe, according to report in Marca.

Zidane was of the view that Mbappe has the long-burning desire to play for Real Madrid and such comment has not gone well with Paris Saint-Germain board.

Leonardo was asked about Zidane’s comment after his side 1-0 win over Club Brugge on Wednesday.

"It's annoying," he said of Zidane's comments.

Zidane speaks on Mbappe's ambition to play for Real Madrid

"This isn't the time to speak about dreams and all of that.

"It has to stop.

"Mbappe is very important for us and this isn't the moment to destabilize him."

Zidane, though, did insist that the player will decide his career path as he made those comments.

"It will be the player who makes the decision on his future," is how he started his answer about Mbappe in Tuesday's press conference.

"At the moment he is with PSG.

"In the future, we'll see, he has always said that his dream was to play at Real Madrid one day."
