Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has broke silence on the speculation linking striker Edinson Cavani to Real Madrid, according to report in MARCA.

Tuchel has squashed the rumour of a possible move to the Spanish capital for the Uruguayan forward and he believed the striker will remain in Paris.

Real Madrid is looking for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Juventus in  €100 million move this summer.

Los Blancos chiefs have identified Cavani as the striker to lead the line for the European Champion.

"I think that he is going to stay here, no one has said anything to me and I think he will stay," said Tuchel.

"It hasn't crossed our minds that he will go, I spoke to him and he hasn't shown any interest about moving."

The German spoke after a hard-fought 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup.

"It was a difficult game because we had a lot of youngsters in the team and the second half was very good," he continued.

"The team is well balanced, we did well in the second half and we have finished both matches so far positively."
