Paris Saint Germain has identified Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema as a replacement for Edinson Cavani who seems to have limited time at the club.
Benzema has just penned a new contract with the Los Blancos that will keep him beyond 2020.
Neymar and Daniel Alves have been enlisted to help the recruitment process, with the PSG pair to make contact with Benzema about the club's ambitious plans.
Lionel Messi worried about Cavani's situation at PSG
There's also a belief in Paris that Benzema's new contract had little to do with his future at Real Madrid, but rather to strengthen the club's position in sale negotiations when the need arises.
Real Madrid bought Benzema from Lyon in the summer of 2009 from Olympique Lyon, The forward is not a stranger to French League having won few accolades in the League before making a move to Real Madrid.
Benzema would arrive as a replacement for Edinson Cavani, who faces being sold in January after a furious bust-up with Neymar last week over set-piece issues.
