Paris Saint -Germain star Kylian Mbappe has made a bold statement about rumours linking Neymar to Real Madrid, according to report in French media.

The Brazilian forward signed for PSG in a world record transfer last season from Barcelona and he has failed to settle down in the French capital which sparked up Real Madrid interest in the fleet-footed forward.

Neymar has been touted for a return to Spain and the La Liga Champions Real Madrid is looking to sign him at the end of the season and the Los Blancos hierarchy are set to break the bank to bring the ex-Barcelona star to Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Mbappe has now quashed that speculation, telling Telefoot: “It’s nothing but hot air.

“Neymar sends me messages, gives me the news. I wished him a good World Cup, but not to win it.

“Of course, I have the goal of winning the World Cup. It’s even a dream. If we progress well, we can achieve something.”

The former Monaco man also lifted the lid on speculation that PSG boss Unai Emery could leave.

“I’m not sure that Emery will leave, even if he is at the end of his contract,” he added.

“I don’t know if he talks to the club. We’ll see who will replace him if he leaves, but he is not leaving at the moment.

“With PSG it’s a good season, even if we failed in Champions League. It will serve us well for next year, I hope. We will never forget it, that’s football. We simply didn’t deserve to progress.”

Neymar is currently injured and he racing to be fit for the World Cup for Brazil.
