Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria reveals that he wanted more playing time to play with dethroned Ligue 1 champions after sending the French giants through to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue. The 29-year-old Di Maria scored his side's second goal in their 4-2 win over Strasbourg in the Coupe de la Ligue as the Argentina international has struggled for a regular game time under Unai Emery this season.
According to FourFourTwo Di Maria said, "I'm happy in Paris, not so much with the season. I'd like to play more,""But I'm grateful for the minutes I'm currently getting and proving that I'm ready to be a starter.I'm doing the right things to show that I want to be a starter, that I want to play. I know that they are decisions that the coach makes these decisions.”"The truth is, if someone thinks about it and isn't happy, they need to play to prove that they should start."Di Maria has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks.
