Real Madrid 3- 2 Dortmund: Vasquez spares Blancos blushes

Lucas Vasquez was the hero of the night for Real Madrid as he helped Los Blancos to earn a 3-2 win over Boriussia Dortmund on Wednesday in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid started brilliantly to their last group stage game as Borja Mayoral chipped home from a close range in the 8th minutes from isco’s assist.

It took real Madrid another four minute to get the second goal from Cristiano Ronaldo as he finds the tops of the corner to in the 12th minute.

Real Madrid continued to dominate as the home team missed a lot of chances to have gone ahead with three or four goals, it is so easy for the European Champions as they probe the visitors in the final third.

Dortmund got a chance to score their first goal through Kagawa but his effort was blocked by Raphael Varane.

Aubameyang got one back for the visitors in the 43rd minutes as he headed a cross from Schmelzer into the back of the net.

The halftime ended in favour of Real Madrid as the home side lead with a 2-1 scoreline

The second half started with Dortmund forcing Real Madrid to make blunders at the defence after Nacho failed to clear a deep cross into the area.

Dortmund levelled the scoreline as a result of Nacho poor clearance through Aubameyang in the 49th minute. Real Madrid continued to search for the third goal and in the 81st minute Theo Hernandez pass found Lucas Vazquez which gave Real Madrid the edge over the German outfit.
