Real Madrid agree deal for Brazilian midfielder

Real Madrid has agreed to a deal to sign highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Antonio Rodrigues from Gremio Novorizontino, say reports in Spain.An agreement with the Novo Horizante-based side has been reached, according to a report in Marca, with the 17-year-old midfielder set to undergo a medical and sign a contract with the reigning European Champions.The attacking midfielder won’t move to play for Los Blancos until the summer of 2018 – when he turns 18 – and is expected to form a part of their Castilla side.
Rodrigo was a Grêmio Novorizontino youth graduate. He was promoted to the under-20 squad ahead of the 2017 season and impressed during the year's Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. On 25 January of that year, he was promoted to the main squad.In March 2017 Rodrigo made his professional debut at the age of 16, starting and providing the assist for Henrique's goal in a 3–1 away loss against Santos.Rodrigo is said to have come to the attention of officials at the Bernabeu after he starred in the Under-17 Club World Cup in the Spanish capital.
