Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari is counting on Welsh forward Gareth Bale for the Copa Del Rey clash against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona will entertain the Bernabeu outfit on Wednesday evening and Solari is keen on Bale to make things happen for Real Madrid when they face the La Liga Champions at home in the semifinal clash.

"Every player contributes what they have. Some more offensive and others more defensive," said the coach.

"Some bring more experience and other youth and freshness. We all have our energy and we are focused on tomorrow's game. That's what interests us and nothing else."

He added: "We love competing and that's why we've been doing it since we were little. Every match you compete in and there are no differences between each game. You go into every match with the same naturalness.”

Real Madrid suffered a 5-1 defeat in their last clash in the La Liga that eventually led to the sack of Julen Lopetegui and the appointment of Solari last year.
