Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane prefers former Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, according to report.
Real Madrid want
to bring in a striker during the winter transfer market due to the diminishing form of Real Madrid forwards, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have all fall short of expectations from the start of the season especially in the La Liga.
Ronaldo and Benzema scored just two goals in the La Liga after 14 games while Gareth Bale injury has prevented him from most of the season’s game.
Inter Milan captain Icardi is Los Blancos' prime target for January market, but according to report in Spanish outlet Okdiario
Chile international Alexis Sanchez is also under consideration.
The European Champions is set to pay within the region of €90-€100m for the Argentine forward and Alexis will be available for just €30m and for this reason Zidane has made it clear to the Real Madrid hierarchy that he would prefer former Arsenal forward Alexis over the Argentine forward.
