Real Madrid confirm Isco set for surgery

Real Madrid have confirmed that Isco will have surgery after tests developing 'acute appendicitis' according to the club medical staff.

The 26-year-old Spain international was unsurprisingly absent from training on Tuesday and is set to miss Wednesday's La Liga clash with Sevilla as he recuperates from going under the knife to remove the vestigial organ.

Isco who featured for 79 minutes in the 1-0 win over Espanyol last Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu as Marca revealed that attacking midfielder came with discomfort to the sports city of Valdebebas and told the coaching staff and medical services that he was not able to train with the tests of the doctors immediately detected appendicitis.

Former Malaga star will be out for like two weeks but he resumes full training third week in the just some days before the first El Clasico of the season on October 28 but Dani Carvajal will also miss Sevilla game as a result of an injury he suffered in the Champions League against Roma a few days earlier and he will not be risked for the fixture at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho will compete for the right-back position with the absence Carvajal.
