Real Madrid has informed Luka Modric of their plans ahead of next season as manager Zinedine Zidane has told the Croat that he will need him for the coming campaign despite the contrary report.

According to the report in Cadena Cope Zidane has personally informed the midfielder that he wants him to stay in Real Madrid beyond this season.

Modric won multiple individual awards in 2018 and Zidane is counting on the veteran midfielder to remain in the capital city, though the board is concerned with the decline in form of the Croat in the middle of the pack.
