Real Madrid lines up immediate replacement for Bale

Real Madrid has lined up an immediate replacement for Gareth bale, as the club is planning a shock move for Antonie Griezmann according to reports emerging in Spanish tabloids.

Zinedine Zidane has identified Atletico Madrid star Antonie Griezmann as his top priority should Bale decide to leave the club in the summer, though Zidane will face a good competition from Barcelona for the coveted forward.

Antonie Griezmann is one of the best strikers in the world right now, he is also in fine form scoring 26 goals and assisting 11 in all competitions for Atletico Madrid.

Griezmann has been one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been the leading exponent to sign the striker, but the striker has hinted he does not want to move to England sighting the weather as his major reason for his rejection.

His rejection to move to England has put Real Madrid and Barcelona on the alert as both teams will struggle it out for his signature when the summer transfer window opens.

Mourinho has now set his sight on Bale who is falling off from the interest of Real Madrid fans due to his injury worries.

Real Madrid has also stepped up their chase and the Bernabeu outfit is ready to meet the £85 release clause and make Griezmann the ideal replacement for the Welshman.

Gareth Bale has been in and out of the starting XI because of his injuries. The Welshman has made 19 appearances for the Whites in La Liga this season, and one of them was a dismal 39 minute first half appearance in the El Classico.

The Bernabeu fans are not satisfied with Bale’s performance this season and they have asked the club's hierarchy to sell him off.

Bale’s season has been hampered by injuries especially in the el-Classico he only played the first 39 minutes before he was forced off due to injury.

Atletico Madrid will have no say in the transfer if Real activate the French international's £85 clause.

If signed by Real Madrid, he will be the 2nd player they would be snatching from Atletico this summer. Theo Hernandez has also reportedly agreed to join Los Blancos and has also passed the medical according to reports.
