Real Madrid are reportedly keen to hijack Arsenal’s bid for Germany international, Julian Draxler .

The European champions are planning a January swoop for the PSG forward, a move that could jeopardize Arsenal’s hopes of landing him in the summer.

The Gunners were desperate to sign the German international in the summer, but failed to get a deal over the line on deadline day, and had been hoping to do a deal next summer.

Draxler has been a long-standing target for the Gunners, who have made several previous attempts to get him.

Arsenal thought their chances of landing the 24-year-old had been boosted by Draxler's struggles at the Parc des Princes after the arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, but with Real Madrid coming into the fray now, all that could change.

The former Schalke star is reportedly unhappy with his lack of game time for Unai Emery's side and eyeing the exit.

He could quit the Parisians as early as January, according to Bild , with Real Madrid now leading the chase for his signature.
