Real Madrid has revealed their alternative plan if the deal to sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain fall through, according to a report in Marca.

The European Champions have identified Belgian superstar Eden Hazard as a plan B after the Chelsea attacker propelled Belgium to the semifinals of the World Cup.

Hazard was in a remarkable form when Belgium eliminated Brazil in the quarterfinals of the tournament and stood out clear than Neymar who has been tipped to shine against the Red Devils.

The Brazilian forward Neymar has been a long-term target for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and he is seen as the next Galactico to be unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to quit Real Madrid this summer and the move could open space for Neymar to move into Real Madrid but persuading PSG to part ways with the record signing could be a herculean task, and this is has led to plan B for the La Liga outfit.

Hazard, 27, has not hidden his desire to don the white shirt of Real Madrid.

Neymar has already departed the tournament without making much of an impact, and this makes Hazard a much more attractive alternative.

"If I have a good World Cup then things will be easier," the Belgian explained in an interview with L'Equipe before the tournament.

"Real Madrid interest me, everybody knows that, and if they don't love me then they won't talk about it.

"If they want to buy me then they know what they have to do."

"Eden refused to extend his contract with Chelsea in order to help the interest of Real Madrid, he'd fit in well there," he admitted to Le Soir.

Hazard is set to help Belgium against France in the semifinal of the World Cup.
