Real Madrid is set to open €150m bid for Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane in an attempt to lure the Reds to part ways with the Senegalese star.

Mane was close to joining Real Madrid last season but the exit of Zinedine Zidane stopped the deal from happening.

With Zidane back to the helm of affairs at the Santiago Bernabeu, he wants Mane as a replacement for Gareth Bale and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to support his coach and bid for the Senegal international.

El Confidencial says, however, intermediaries have warned Perez that Liverpool has no need nor interest to sell.

Real Madrid is doing everything possible to bring Liverpool to the negotiating table and he is willingly to start his bid with a huge amount of €150m and could increase it if the need be.

Zidane wants a player who is direct in his approach, Real Madrid has also informed Chelsea of their desire to sign another Premier League star Eden Hazard.
