Real Madrid star out for a Month after El-Clasico 1-1 draw

Real Madrid star Marcos Llorente is out for a month after the midfielder sustained a groin injury during the 1-1 draw in the Copa del Rey clash against Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Llorente sustained an adductor injury (groin)  and was replaced by Casemiro in the second half and Real Madrid has been informed on the extent of the injury.

Following the tests carried out today on our player Marcos Llorente by the Real Madrid medical team, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury to his left adductor. His recovery will continue to be assessed, according to the club website.

“Following the tests carried out today on our player Marcos Llorente by the Real Madrid medical team, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury to his left adductor,” read a Madrid statement on Thursday.

“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”

This is the second time the central midfield will sustain the same injury this season, he was tipped to join Alaves this winter but his performance won the heart of manager Santiago Solari and has replaced Casemiro perfectly when the Brazilian suffered an injury.
