Real Madrid to play Copa del Rey in North Africa

European Champions Real Madrid to play their round 32 Copa del Rey in North Africa against Melilla after the draw was made on Friday morning.

Los Blancos are aiming to win the tournament for the first time since 2014 as the capital club will begin their efforts with a two-legged tie with third-tier outfit Melilla while holders Barcelona will go head to head with Cultural Leonesa Segunda B club.

Real Madrid will travel to North Africa for the first leg at the end of October before the return match early December at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Current La Liga leaders Sevilla will go up against Villanovense Atletico Madrid battle Sant Andreu, with Valencia being provided with a showdown versus Ebro.
