Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is prepared to spend €300m on a single player as they aim to add more depth to the squad.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe has emerged as a prime target for the Los Blancos directors and Real Madrid is set to see off competition from other suitors to capture the signature of the French forward.

The report emerged in France that Manchester City is already to compete with the Spanish giants for the services of the World Cup winner.

However, Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito, has revealed Zidane is playing his part in Real's pursuit of Mbappe.

"Zidane talks with Mbappe, with the player himself and with his father every so often," Inda said.

"He does not want the signing to be messed up in the face of this summer or the next."

Mbappe’s contract expires in 2022 and he is not willing to sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 outfit as he fancies a move to one of the European top clubs.
