NPFL top scorer finally gets Eagles chance to rival Ighalo

Leading scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League Junior Lokosa is set to travel for trials with Bulgarian club Ludogorets today, it has been revealed.

That Kano Pillars striker scored a brace against Katsina United at the weekend, and is now expected to travel today to the European country, according to ScoreNigeria.

He had been expected to arrive Bulgaria on Saturday, May 12, but his trip was delayed by a number of days.

His invitation letter said he will train with the Bulgarian club and discuss a possible transfer.

Ludogrets won the regular season in Bulgaria and are in the championship playoffs.

Lokosa has now netted 18 goals in the NPFL this season and he is widely expected to be part of the Super Eagles provisional squad to the World Cup.

In the meantime, the free-scoring striker suffered a head injury when Pillars supporters threw missiles into the hitch after their team beat Katsina United 3-1 today at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
