Mikel, Ogu & Balogun lead 15 others to Eagles camp in Asaba

The German tactician Gernot Rohr named a strong starting eleven against Burundi in their Group B opener in the 2019 Africa Cup Nations in Egypt.

Nigeria head coach has dropped his usual number, one goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho from the starting lineups as former Bordeaux boss opted for South African base stopper Daniel Akpeyi to start against the debutants.

However, Rohr opted to bring in Midtylland striker Paul Onuachu for Odion Ighalo and Jamiu Collins has taken ill, so Ola Aina will play at left-back but Villarreal winger, Samuel Chukwueze, who had an outstanding season in LaLiga, takes the place of Samuel Kalu, who collapsed in training on Friday but John Mikel Obi will captain the side.

According to NFF social media handle saying here’s how our @NGSuperEagles file out against #Burundi in Alexandria.

Kick off is 6 pm West African time.
