Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr set to invite two players of Stephen Eze and Ikouwem Udoh who were members of the silver-winning 2018 CHAN Eagles, for Nigeria’s upcoming friendly matches.

The 64-year-old was at the just concluded African Nations Championship in Morocco to keep an eye on the home-based Eagles at the tournament as he the German tactician reveals his impress with a display from some the Nigerian players at the competition including the goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenewa.

“Rohr has decided to pick Ezenwa, Eze and Udoh for his World Cup preparations and it is now up to the two players to fight for a place in the final squad to Russia,” a top official disclosed.

Stephen Eze Super Eagles

The 23-year-old Kano Pillar defender who is expected to complete a move to Bulgarian outfit Lokomotiv Plovdiv after he features in all match for Yusuf Salisu led side and with some performance which ends him, a man of the man match against Libya.

Ikouwem Udoh

While the 18-year-old Eyinmba star Udoh is said to have won the heart of the coach, who is still searching for more options in the left-back position despite having Brian Idowu, Elderson Echiejile and Ola Aina.

Rohr has already announced he will name his squad for two important World Cup warm-up matches against Poland and Serbia by the first week of next month.

Super Eagles are away to Poland on March 23 at Wroclaw, before they battle Serbia three days later in London.
