Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo is happy to be back playing for the club after missing three weeks of action duo to knee injury.
Speaking to reporters after the club’s 1-0 win against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, the Portuguese forward debunked speculation that his return from injury was too early stressing that he felt no discomfort during his one hour outing in the Champions League match.
“I didn’t force anything. I feel good. Some people didn’t want me to play but I did and nothing happened. I was a little bit worried because it was my first match after three weeks but I didn’t feel any discomfort. I’ll be in perfect condition for the next games,” Ronaldo said.
The world player of the year also expressed delight at the result against Bayern Munich stating that the win will make it difficult for the defending champions to go through when both teams meet next Tuesday.
“1-0 in the semi-final of the Champions League is good and we also played well. If we score a goal there it will make it very complicated for them to go through, so I think we will score and go on to the final,” Ronaldo concluded.
