According to The Sunday Mirror, Alexis Sanchez is trying to force himself away from Arsenal this season after demanding a ridiculous £420,000 a-week from the club.

The former Barcelona star, who is currently with the Chilean national team at the FIFA Confederations Cup is a top target for Manchester City as Pep Guardiola is desperate to reunite with the player.

However, Arsene Wenger is not willing to lose the player to a premier league rival and has pegged his transfer fee at £50million which brings Bayern Munich into the picture but Sanchez’s wage demand has sacred the Bundesliga champions away.

The Gunners are ready to offer Sanchez £300,000-a-week deal but the player wants £420,000 which may force Arsenal to sell him to the Citizens this summer.

Manchester City will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season while Arsenal did not make the top four in the premier league which means they were only good enough to make the Europa League and that hands the Citizens a massive chance of signing Sanchez.
