Maurizio Sarri gave an awkward response when asked about the speculation linking Eden Hazard to Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane back in charge.

Hazard will fancy a move to the Spanish capital when the transfer period is opened in the summer after refusing to extend his deal with Chelsea.

Hazard is craving to play under Zidane and the French manager is keen on signing the Belgian attacker to bolster Real Madrid attack.

Sarri was asked at a media conference on the eve of Chelsea’s Europa League game against Dynamo Kiev if he felt Zidane’s return to Madrid would sway Hazard.

Sarri said: “I don’t know. You will have to ask Hazard. At the moment I haven’t spoken to him about Zidane, so I don’t know.

“I am not worried. You know my opinion. I want in my team only players who want to play for Chelsea. So I cannot be worried.”

Hazard has not hidden his desire to play for Real Madrid, his fellow compatriot Thibaut Courtois left Chelsea for Real Madrid last summer and the goalkeeper wish Hazard makes similar decision to join him at the Santiago Bernabeu.
