Chelsea is prepared to sack Maurizio Sarri if he fails to meet the club's demands, according to report. The Chelsea hierarchy has told the Italian tactician to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Pressure piled on Sarri after the 4-0 and 6-0 defeat to Bournemouth and Manchester City respectively in the Premier League and faced a herculean task to finish in the top four spot in Premier League.

The defeat against Manchester City dropped Chelsea to sixth in the Premier League table, Chelsea might play in the Champions League even if they failed to finish in the top four if they win the Europa League, the Blues will face Malmo in the last 32-stage.

The objectives of the season were made known to Sarri upon his appointment in the summer, he is to ensure Chelsea become one of the dominant team in Europe once again and if he fails to meet the aim Roman Abramovich will not stomach a second season outside of it.

The Blues face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month but a victory in that would not save Sarri’s job if the club’s Champions League hopes  diminish.

Chelsea is in Sweden for their clash in the Europa league against Sweden most successful side Malmo, Sarri dropped Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marcos Alonso.

Loftus-Cheek is suffering from a back injury while Alonso was rested for the trip.
