Liverpool was unable to produce the same performance that propelled them to the last Champions League final in Kiev against Real Madrid.
The Reds looked a bit tired against Napoli and their weakness was largely exposed and the home Side was able to score a goal before the end of the match.
Sarri’s men also claimed a 1-0 win over Videoton in the Europa League and after the game, he said: “The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge was amazing, the crowd is so close to the pitch. The atmosphere in Naples, however, is unique.
It’s not easy to play every three days, players can become tired and I like to think that Liverpool was exhausted against Napoli after playing against us in the Premier League.”
