Arsenal legend David Seaman insists the Gunners' shot-stopper Petr Cech who has been linked with a return to Chelsea with his future at the Emirates increasingly uncertain can’t be discarded.
After their defensive woes last season, Arsenal brought in a new shot-stopper last month when they signed Bern Leno from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £22million.
Rumours of Cech's return to Chelsea has sparked mixed reactions from fans and Gunners legend Seaman believes Cech’s experience is still invaluable to Arsenal and they would be foolish to let him go.
“I don’t think he will get written off straight away. You don’t disregard that experience from a guy that has won everything in the Premier League and he has won the Champions League as well.
“Don’t disregard that. He has still got a lot to offer. What is interesting is that Petr has took
the number one jersey. So that means that he wants to stay around for a little while." Seaman is quoted as saying on The Express
